A well-established skilled nursing facility in the Jenkintown, PA area is seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on maintenance experience and be comfortable working in a healthcare or long‑term care environment.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the facility.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address building‑related concerns.
Maintain and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and general building systems as qualified.
Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and other facility repairs.
Inspect equipment and building systems to identify potential maintenance issues.
Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Assist with facility safety inspections and ensure maintenance concerns are addressed promptly.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
Assist with emergency maintenance situations as needed.
Follow all applicable safety, infection‑control, and facility policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively with facility leadership and other departments.
Previous maintenance experience required.
Experience working in a skilled nursing facility, healthcare facility, hospital, assisted living community, or similar environment preferred.
Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, staff, and vendors.
Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
