IU Health University Hospital is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to perform scheduled and non-scheduled preventive maintenance, respond to dispatched calls, and troubleshoot/repair secondary utility systems across buildings including plumbing, electrical, and air systems.
The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Indiana driver's license, and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with knowledge of building codes related to healthcare preferred.
Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Schedule: On-call rotation is required for four weekends out of the year. Additional weekend coverage may be required due to operational needs.
Standard Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Location: IU Health University Hospital
Performs scheduled and non-scheduled preventive maintenance, responding to dispatched general maintenance calls, and troubleshooting/repairing secondary utility systems of buildings, plumbing, air-conditioning, electrical and air systems. Maintains, repairs and inspects specialized machinery and equipment in accordance with code and regulatory requirements. Recommends through the appropriate channels any improvements and corrections to the facilities equipment and/or systems that meet overall patient care needs. Coordinates functions with other services and departments. Performs routine building and grounds inspections. Performs other related duties as assigned.
