Indiana University Health in Indianapolis seeks a facilities maintenance technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, respond to calls, and troubleshoot secondary utility systems in healthcare facilities.
The role requires reading blueprints, using power and hand tools, and ensuring code compliance; requires at least 2 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma. Travel to off-site locations is required; on-site work at multiple campus locations.
4 - 10 hr days is possible option as well
This is a full-time position. The standard hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am until 3:30pm. Team member will be required to work on-call rotations. A work truck will be provided for team member during working hours. 4 - 10 hr days is possible option as well
7 different off-site locations. Most locations are near downtown Indianapolis.
Performs scheduled and non-scheduled preventive maintenance, responding to dispatched general maintenance calls, and troubleshooting/repairing secondary utility systems of buildings, plumbing, air-conditioning, electrical and air systems. Maintains, repairs and inspects specialized machinery and equipment in accordance with code and regulatory requirements. Recommends through the appropriate channels any improvements and corrections to the facilities equipment and/or systems that meet overall patient care needs. Coordinates functions with other services and departments. Performs routine building and grounds inspections. Performs other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required.
