Job summary

Brookside Properties in Huntsville, AL is seeking a skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to service HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and general maintenance duties across our apartment community.

You will complete work orders, prepare vacant units, participate in on-call rotations, and uphold OSHA safety standards while delivering strong resident service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience in multifamily/apartments strongly preferred.
• HVAC experience required, EPA/Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and work orders in a timely, professional manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and general apartment repairs.
• Prepare vacant apartment homes for move-in readiness (make-readies / apartment turns).
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry and drywall repairs.
• Maintain community grounds, amenities, and common areas.
• Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, tools, and supplies; follow OSHA safety standards and Fair Housing regulations.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
