Job summary

Planet Fitness, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to service clubs around the Raleigh, NC area. The role emphasizes maintaining and repairing equipment with safety in mind and supporting the franchise's Judgement Free Zone.

You will work with painting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and alarm systems, be on call for emergencies, and travel between locations with provided transportation. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities at one of the fastest-growing fitness brands.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge about electrical, plumbing and other systems.
• Proficiency with tools and common appliances.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Willingness to be on call for maintenance emergencies, including nights and weekends.
• Must have a valid drivers license for travel between clubs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fitness equipment safely and independently.
• Upkeep of painting, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing for all locations.
• Inspect alarm systems.
• Coordinate with vendors to schedule maintenance.
• On-call for maintenance emergencies, including nights and weekends.
• Travel to clubs in the greater Raleigh area; company provides vehicle.
• Reimburse travel time.

Planet Fitness is looking for a skilled and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to service our clubs around the greater Raleigh, NC area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installing, Maintaining and Repairing fitness equipment independently while abiding by safety regulations


• Upkeep of painting, landscaping, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing for all location


• Inspection of alarm systems


• Partnering with other companies to schedule maintenance as needed


• Ability to be on call for maintenance emergency's


• Available of nights and weekends


• Travel will be necessary meaning a valid driver's license will be needed. Vehicle transportation will be provided by the company


• Reimbursement will also be provided for travel time

Job Position Requirements:

• Maintaining excellent condition of company vehicle


• Strong communication skills
