Job summary

Planet Fitness, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to service our clubs around the greater Raleigh, NC area.

The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing fitness equipment and building systems to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming Judgement Free Zone for members. Ideal candidates will have basic electrical & plumbing knowledge, strong tool skills, and be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and related systems
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair fitness equipment in multiple clubs
• Perform upkeep of painting, landscaping, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing
• Inspect alarm systems and safety devices
• Coordinate with external vendors for scheduled maintenance
• Be on call for maintenance emergencies, including nights and weekends
• Travel to clubs; valid driver’s license required; company may provide vehicle
• Reimburse travel time as applicable

Planet Fitness is looking for a skilled and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to service our clubs around the greater Raleigh, NC area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installing, Maintaining and Repairing fitness equipment independently while abiding by safety regulations


• Upkeep of painting, landscaping, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing for all location


• Inspection of alarm systems


• Partnering with other companies to schedule maintenance as needed


• Ability to be on call for maintenance emergency's


• Available of nights and weekends


• Travel will be necessary meaning a valid driver's license will be needed. Vehicle transportation will be provided by the company


• Reimbursement will also be provided for travel time

Job Position Requirements:

• Basic knowledge about electrical, plumbing and other systems


• Proficiency with tools as well as common appliances and devices


• Ability to lift items weighing 75 pounds


• Maintaining excellent condition of company vehicle


• Strong communication skills


• Must be on call for maintenance emergencies, including nights, early mornings and weekends
