Job summary

Planet Fitness, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to service our clubs around the greater Raleigh, NC area. The role focuses on installing, maintaining and repairing fitness equipment while upholding safety standards and brand expectations.

You will handle painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and inspection tasks, be on-call for emergencies, and travel with a company vehicle. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 75 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency with common tools and appliances.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Maintaining an excellent condition of company vehicle.
• Strong communication skills.
• On-call for maintenance emergencies, including nights, mornings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair fitness equipment.
• Upkeep of painting, landscaping, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing for all locations.
• Inspect alarm systems.
• Coordinate with vendors to schedule preventive maintenance.
• Be on call for maintenance emergencies.
• Travel will be necessary; a valid driver’s license is required; company-provided vehicle.
• Travel time reimbursement will be provided.

Planet Fitness is looking for a skilled and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to service our clubs around the greater Raleigh, NC area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installing, Maintaining and Repairing fitness equipment independently while abiding by safety regulations


• Upkeep of painting, landscaping, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing for all location


• Inspection of alarm systems


• Partnering with other companies to schedule maintenance as needed


• Ability to be on call for maintenance emergency's


• Available of nights and weekends


• Travel will be necessary meaning a valid driver's license will be needed. Vehicle transportation will be provided by the company


• Reimbursement will also be provided for travel time

Job Position Requirements:

• Ability to lift items weighing 75 pounds


• Maintaining excellent condition of company vehicle
