Plastipak in Havre de Grace, MD, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service extrusion or blow molding equipment, ensuring continuous, optimized operations. You’ll implement preventative maintenance and support changeovers with precision, while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have 3 years in industrial maintenance, the ability to read blueprints, and the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics.
• Lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Welding/fabrication experience a plus.
• PLC experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance for extrusion or blow molding equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Execute and improve preventative maintenance procedures.
• Participate in changeovers with efficient and correct execution.
• Engage in reactive maintenance as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Grow skills through training and on-the-job experiences to enable internal promotions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform maintenance for either extrusion or blow molding manufacturing equipment to assure uninterrupted & optimal operations


• Execute & continuously improve preventative maintenance procedures


• Participate in changeovers, ensuring efficient & correct execution


• Participates in reactive maintenance


• Assure compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, operational practices & procedures


• Grow your knowledge and skills through a wide variety of training & on-the-job experiences, positioning you for internal promotions

Requirements

• Able to work either a 12 hour day shift or a 12 hour night shift, rotating schedule 3-2-2-3


• High school diploma, GED or equivalent


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation


• 3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience required


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics


• Welding/fabrication experience a plus


• PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience is a bonus
