Job summary

Plastipak Packaging in Havre de Grace, MD, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to service extrusion and blow molding equipment. The role requires rotating 12-hour day/night shifts (3-2-2-3) and hands-on maintenance to keep lines running efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Welding/fabrication experience a plus.
• PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance for extrusion or blow molding equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Execute & continuously improve preventative maintenance procedures.
• Participate in changeovers, ensuring efficient and correct execution.
• Participates in reactive maintenance.
• Assure compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, operational practices & procedures.
• Grow your knowledge and skills through a wide variety of training & on-the-job experiences, positioning you for internal promotions.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Pay: $27 - $38+ per hour, based on experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform maintenance for either extrusion or blow molding manufacturing equipment to assure uninterrupted & optimal operations

• Execute & continuously improve preventative maintenance procedures

• Participate in changeovers, ensuring efficient & correct execution

• Participates in reactive maintenance
