WestRock Hanover Park is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform routine and extensive preventive maintenance and repair procedures on electrical and mechanical systems involving production equipment and plant systems.

Shift: 2nd: 15:55-10:00 p.m. or 3rd: M-F 9:55 p.m.-6:00 a.m.; some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities depending upon area of assignment, including performing basic trade activities.
• Perform minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment as required.
• Repair electrical equipment/systems and control circuits; and replace faulty electrical equipment as needed.
• Have familiarity with NFPA 70E standards and apply these standards in the work situation.
• Install electrical wiring and equipment; and replace and repair wiring as needed (including computer cable).
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspect belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, grease bearings, seals, etc.; repair or replace broken parts as required.
• May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.
• Calibrate and repair pneumatic systems and other mechanical systems on production equipment to assure optimum performance of that production process.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or another member of the leadership team.
• Demonstrate strong basic computer skills to utilize the maintenance work order and inventory system.
• Have good communication skills to engage other employees, management and outside vendors while troubleshooting and distributing necessary information to others.

The salary range for this position is $32.36-$40.50 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short‑term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
