Job summary

Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Work shift coverage with advanced repair skills on all production equipment.
• Document all assigned reports and maintenance work orders (MWO’s) for performed work.
• Collaborate with maintenance, process and production personnel to problem‑solve equipment and production issues.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and operational issues (e.g., HVAC, process chilled water systems, heating, automation, extrusion).
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
• Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, switches and motors.
• Observe and listen to operational mechanical devices to diagnose problems.
• Inspect used and defective parts to determine causes of wear and implement corrective actions.
• Fabricate parts or structures using in‑house equipment (lathe, drill press, milling machine, welding).
• Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety, reduce downtime, decrease scrap, improve quality and increase plant efficiency.
• Perform routine and diagnostic Planned Maintenance on equipment.
• Execute any additional assignments, general or specific, directed by supervisor.
• Adhere to all plant safety rules and policies, report unsafe conditions, wear proper attire and required PPE.
