Looking for Maintenance Technician jobs in Gretna where your technical skills keep equipment operating at its best? This opportunity allows you to troubleshoot problems, perform repairs, and help maintain the systems that keep production moving safely and efficiently.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
- Familiarity with SAP, ERP systems, or computerized maintenance systems is a plus
Job Duties
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, pumps, valves, VFDs, fans, and production equipment
- Install and replace electrical and mechanical components
- Complete preventive maintenance and sanitation work orders
- Read blueprints, electrical drawings, and technical manuals
- Document repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities in SAP/ERP
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Follow GMP, food safety, and Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Operate forklifts, lifts, and other maintenance equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial.
- Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Maintenance Technician.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
- Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.
