Job summary

HILLS Properties has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Maintenance Technician at Emerald Lakes in Greenwood, IN. The role involves maintaining all areas of the property, handling service requests for residents, and on-call hours with some evenings and weekends.

A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available after 90 days of continuous employment. The ideal candidate will have HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Thorough working knowledge of building maintenance.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Knowledge and safe use of hand tools, ladders and cleaning fluids.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain outdoor grounds, including pool area, in a safe, attractive condition.
• Inspect vacated units and assist with make-ready, painting, drywall and carpet cleaning.
• Perform work orders and repairs including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and small appliances.
• Inspect and log building lights, smoke detectors, sprinkler systems and furnace filters; replace as needed.
• Demonstrate a professional and positive outlook with teammates, residents, vendors and prospective residents.

HILLS Properties has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join the team at one of our luxury apartment communities, Emerald Lakes, in Greenwood, Indiana!

This is a regular, full-time position with some evening and weekend on call hours required.

As a maintenance technician, we will keep you busy! You play a key role in upholding our high standards and reputation by maintaining all areas of the property and performing service requests for residents. A typical day could include HVAC, electrical, small appliances, and plumbing repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.

Requirements
