Job summary

Maine Course Hospitality Group is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support daily hotel operations by completing repairs, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all systems are in excellent working order.

As part of a values-driven team, you will help keep guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces safe and comfortable, respond quickly to requests, and coordinate with the General Manager to prioritize tasks while maintaining logs and inventory.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or facilities operations, hotel experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for guest rooms and public areas
• Complete preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, equipment, and appliances
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest service needs
• Maintain safety through inspecting and repairing locks, doors, alarms, lighting, and other safety systems
• Assist with pool operations and chemical testing
• Coordinate repairs with the General Manager and department leaders
• Maintain logs, reports, and documentation of work
• Monitor inventory and communicate needs for tools and parts
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety regulations

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily general maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Complete routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, equipment, and appliances
• Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance requests and guest service needs
• Maintain property safety by inspecting and repairing locks, doors, alarms, lighting, and other safety systems
• Assist with pool operations, including chemical testing and equipment maintenance
• Support cleanliness and upkeep of building exteriors, grounds, and hotel equipment
• Work closely with the General Manager and department leaders to coordinate repairs and prioritize tasks
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of completed work
• Monitor supply inventory and communicate needs for tools, parts, or equipment
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety protocols, and all local/state regulations

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, building operations, or facilities experience preferred (hotel experience a plus)
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of issues
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
