Job summary

Maine Course Hospitality Group in Salem, MA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily hotel operations by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensuring systems and equipment run safely and efficiently.

You will work with the General Manager and teams to prioritize tasks, maintain logs, and respond quickly to guest service needs, with opportunities to work on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building upkeep.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance or facilities operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong problem-solving and guest-focused mindset.
• Availability for flexible schedule, including some weekends or evenings.
• EPA or maintenance certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily general maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Complete routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, equipment, and appliances
• Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance requests and guest service needs
• Maintain property safety by inspecting and repairing locks, doors, alarms, lighting, and other safety systems
• Assist with pool/spa operations (if applicable), including chemical testing and equipment maintenance
• Support cleanliness and upkeep of building exteriors, grounds, and hotel equipment
• Work closely with the General Manager and department leaders to coordinate repairs and prioritize tasks
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of completed work
• Monitor supply inventory and communicate needs for tools, parts, or equipment
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety protocols, and all local/state regulations

• Strong communication skills and a guest-focused mindset
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical labor as needed
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends or evenings
• EPA or other maintenance certifications are a plus but not required
