Job summary

Colonial Country Club in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join Troon’s global hospitality platform. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and support facilities operations with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires a high school diploma and basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Team collaboration and the ability to read manuals and schematics are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous maintenance, industrial, facilities, or mechanical experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and work in various physical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility-related issues as needed.
  • Inspect equipment and identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns.
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
  • Replace or repair defective components, parts, wiring, motors, pumps, and other equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers when specialized repairs are required.
  • Assist with installation, relocation, and modification of equipment and facility systems.
  • Maintain an inventory of commonly used tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.

Schedule
  • Full-time position. Schedule may include weekends, overtime, on-call shifts, or emergency response depending on business needs.
