Job summary

Mr. Greens Produce in Florida seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, facilities, and building systems to support warehouse, distribution, refrigeration, and facility operations.

Duties include inspections, repairs, and coordinating with contractors while ensuring safety compliance and clean work areas. The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of maintenance experience in a relevant environment;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on facility equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration equipment as needed.
• Maintain warehouse equipment, conveyors, dock doors, pallet jacks, and other operational machinery.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and identify potential maintenance issues before they become major problems.
• Complete work orders accurately and maintain maintenance records.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when necessary.
• Support operational needs during peak business periods and special projects.

Overview:Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.Summary:The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment, facilities, and building systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role supports warehouse, distribution, refrigeration, and facility operations by minimizing downtime and maintaining compliance with company safety standards.Accountabilities:· Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on facility equipment and systems.· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration equipment as needed.· Maintain warehouse equipment, conveyors, dock doors, pallet jacks, and other operational machinery.· Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.· Conduct regular facility inspections and identify potential maintenance issues before they become major problems.· Complete work orders accurately and maintain maintenance records.· Assist with installation, modification, and relocation of equipment and machinery.· Perform building maintenance including painting, lighting repairs, carpentry, and general upkeep.· Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and food safety requirements.· Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work areas.· Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when necessary.· Support operational needs during peak business periods and special projects.Required Skills and Qualifications· High school diploma or GED required.· Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment preferred.· Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.· Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.· Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.· Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMPhysical Demands/ Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
