Job summary

Solventum in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production operations, ensure quality, and sustain a safe, efficient plant environment on the 3rd shift (Sun 9pm–6:30am; Mon–Thu 10pm–6:30am).

You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify facilities and equipment, develop maintenance procedures, analyze performance, manage parts inventory, and work with teams to drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in electrical or mechanical field or HS Diploma/GED with 2 years maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic symbols and nomenclature.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or on short-notice shift coverage.

• Perform basic fabrication and millwright tasks.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures for safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

• Maintain equipment parts inventory and stockroom cycle counts.
• Partner with supervisors and team members to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will support production operations, ensuring quality standards, and contribute to a safe and efficient plant environment.

This role works the 3rd shift: Sunday 9 pm‑6:30 am; Monday‑Thursday 10 pm‑6:30 am, with a starting pay of $31.06/hour plus a $1.50/hour 3rd Shift Differential. Training may occur on an alternate shift.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying facilities and production equipment, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and low‑voltage electrical equipment.
• Performing basic fabrication and millwright tasks.
• Developing and implementing maintenance procedures for safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
• Analyzing equipment performance to identify maintenance needs, recommend improvements, and support design changes.
