Job summary

A maintenance technician position with an undisclosed client in the building automation and industrial technology sector is available in East Chicago, Indiana. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, repairs, and keeping heavy equipment running safely and efficiently.

Candidates should have at least two years in mechanical repair and plant maintenance, with proficiency in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, and must be able to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and general plant maintenance.
• Proficient in hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Inspects condition and operation of plant equipment and performs necessary repairs.
• Performs required emergency repairs on production equipment.
• Adheres to all safety, environmental and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain crushers, conveyor belts, pulleys, pumps, screens and screen bearings.
