Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. in Dundee, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our plastic recycling machinery running safely and efficiently. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure uninterrupted production.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience. Strong mechanical skills are essential; electrical knowledge is a plus.

• Assure compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, operational practices and procedures.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Dundee, MI

Pay: $24+/hr, depending on experience

Shift: 3-2-2-3 schedule (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off)

• Nights: 7pm-7:30am

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform maintenance for machinery & mechanical equipment used in the plastic recycling process to assure uninterrupted & optimal operations

• Participate in changeovers, ensuring efficient & correct execution
• Assure compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, operational practices & procedures
• Receive thorough & ongoing training, with a clear pathway to promotion

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience in any industry.
• Strong mechanical skills
• Electrical knowledge a plus
