Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance, promoting the well-being and aesthetics of resident spaces. You will respond to work orders, follow safety procedures, and communicate findings to the Maintenance Director.

The role is full-time with a Sunday-Thursday 8am-4pm schedule. The wage range is $22–$24 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth within the community.

Qualifications

• Experience with general maintenance tasks including electrical, painting, carpentry in a senior living environment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and chemical handling in a clinical/employee setting.
• Ability to learn new skills quickly and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.).
• Maintain clean and safe work areas; follow chemical handling standards.
• Work within the work-order system to track repairs and tasks.
• Communicate with the Maintenance Director about building/equipment condition.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and routine inspections.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this role the Maintenance Technician performs repairs (both minor and major). You will implement regular and preventive maintenance programs that promote a sense of well-being and aesthetic appeal for residents and staff and communicate with the Maintenance Director on the condition of buildings and equipment

Full Time Wage range $22 - $24 Hour .

Schedule is Sunday through Thursday 8am-4pm

Responsibilities

• Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste.
• Maintains a clean laundry room in an orderly manner and stores chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instruction.
• Follows standards and practices for specific chemicals.
• Demonstrates excellent mechanical skills.
• Works effectively within the work-order system.
• Performs general maintenance work (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.)

Requirements

• Familiar with emergency procedures if chemicals are misused.
• Demonstrates the interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed.
• Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment.
