Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative, team-based environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • On-call as assigned.
  • Strong electrical/mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency with maintenance/parts management software (CMMS).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain plant cleanliness and work safely at all times.
  • Ensure efficient mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic operation of the plant and facilities.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and building systems.
  • Perform required calibrations and keep records.
  • Inspect drives, motors, belts, and replace filters.
  • Troubleshoot machinery using schematics/drawings/manuals.
  • Assemble, install or repair wiring and equipment.
  • Test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Maintain repair parts inventory.

Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Three Rivers Energy, a Delta T designed ethanol plant, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician at our Coshocton, Ohio facility. The Maintenance Tech is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the plant equipment to ensure safety, quality, and productivity while supporting the Company’s policies, goals, and objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintains plant cleanliness and works in a safe manner at all times
  • Ensures the efficient daily mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic operation of the plant and facilities
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines/equipment continues to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently
  • Ensure all necessary calibrations are performed and records kept as appropriate.
  • Ensure premises and equipment are maintained and records kept as appropriate.
  • Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following preventive maintenance checklists
  • Troubleshoots problems with machinery to determine nature of problem, such as computer, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical problems or set‑up of the equipment using schematics/drawings/manuals.
  • Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Confers with technical support groups to solve computer‑related and hydraulic‑related problems.
  • Helps to maintain the repair parts inventory
  • Discuss any problems with Maintenance Manager and work with him/her on daily tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis.
  • High school diploma. Post‑secondary education and/or a technical trade certification (e.g. millwright, electrician, welder, pipe‑fitter, etc.) is preferred. TIG Welding experience is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on work experience in industrial mechanical maintenance
  • Good attitude and accepting of change.
  • Excellent electrical/mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative, team‑based environment.
  • Capable of using parts/PM management computer system.
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Required to be on call as assigned.
  • Ability to physically ascend and descend up to 200 stairs.
  • Ability to physically perform tasks overhead as well below at knee level.
Other Skills/Abilities
  • Proficiency with basic office computer software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) is an asset.
