Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support two senior living facilities in Columbus. The role splits time between Little Brook Place and North Community Place, performing routine maintenance and responding to resident needs with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years' experience in building maintenance or related field.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and insured transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and facility systems.
  • Complete basic carpentry, painting, flooring, and custodial tasks as needed.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure all equipment and utility rooms are clean and organized.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventories, work orders, and inspections.
  • Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests, communicating with residents and the community manager.
  • Perform regular property inspections and seasonal tasks such as snow removal and grounds keeping.
  • Support compliance with HUD, OSHA, and LSS safety standards, including participation in inspections.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Assist in unit turnover and reconditioning for new residents.

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for LSS Affordable Senior Housing to split time between two senior living facilities in Columbus.; Little Brook Place - 5911 Little Brook Way and North Community Place - 120 Morse Rd.
