Job summary

Freedom Village at Brandywine is seeking a hospitality-focused Plant Operations Technician to join our maintenance team. This full-time role ensures the upkeep of residential units and public spaces, handling plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliance tasks with a friendly, resident-centered approach.

You will work in a team, communicate with residents and staff, and participate in on-call weekend coverage, all while upholding high confidentiality and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Operate under general supervision with a warm, caring demeanor.
• Maintain confidentiality and pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upkeep residential apartments and common areas.
• Perform tasks using general maintenance & repair techniques, materials, tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance team to keep buildings in good condition.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Plant Operations Technician (Maintenance Technician) is responsible for the overall upkeep of residential apartments and public areas through responsive, accurate and efficient maintenance. This will be accomplished through the performance of simple tasks that require the application of general maintenance and repair techniques, materials, tools, and equipment. The Maintenance Tech serves as a member of the Maintenance team that is responsible for the physical condition of all buildings on campus. This Full-Time position will require a rotating weekend on call phone.
