Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and calibrate production equipment, including electronic controls and NC systems, in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires 5 years in engineering/manufacturing metalworking, PLC experience (Siemens preferred), and strong troubleshooting in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Weekend shifts may apply; pay ranges from $18.11 to $24.22 per hour with full-time, temp-to-hire prospects.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years experience in an engineering/manufacturing metalworking environment.
  • Skills to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Welding and cutting operations related to maintenance.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience in building and maintaining production equipment.
  • PC skills: Excel, Word, etc.
  • Experience with PLCs (Siemens preferred; Allen-Bradley acceptable).
  • Experience in building switch cabinets and wiring machines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, repairs, and calibrates electronic equipment including NC systems and other controls for production machinery.
  • Manufactures new production machinery and equipment.
  • Schedules and orders parts and equipment for assembly lines.
  • Responds promptly during production hours and provides timely feedback.
  • Minimizes downtime and considers cost impact on production.

Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate

$18.11 to 24.22 per hour

Schedule and Hours

500pm to 500am.

Weekends possible

Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Maintains, repairs, and calibrates electronic equipment including numeric control systems or other electronic controls for production machinery.
  2. Manufacture of new production machinery and equipment
  3. Schedule and order parts and equipment needed for assembly lines
  4. Respond urgently during production hours in performing maintenance and provide accurate and timely feedback
  5. Conscious of cost and production impact of downtime on any machinery and equipment.
  6. Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  7. Planning and coordinating installation and commissioning of electrical and electronic controllers.
  8. Testing and introducing new monitoring and control systems.
  9. Disposal of used oil, emulsion and oil separators.
  10. Supervising and executing switch cabinet building and fitting, machine wiring and connections and programming.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. 5 years experience in an engineering manufacturing metal working environment.
  3. Possess skills to perform hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting.
  4. Possess skills to perform welding and cutting operations associated with equipment maintenance and repair.
  5. Good Communication Skills.
  6. Experience in building and maintenance of production equipment.
  7. PC skills in Excel, Word, etc.
  8. PLC Experience Siemens preferred; acceptable Allen Bradley, Festo.
  9. Experience in building switch cabinets and in wiring up machines.
