Job summary

Insight Global in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure continuous production operations through preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment. This role emphasizes safety and hands-on mechanical work as needed, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

The position involves troubleshooting PLC, AC drives, HMI, and instrumentation, coordinating with the production team for preventive maintenance, and contributing to TPM activities.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of related experience or trade skills.

• Basic maintenance tool understanding and proper tool use.
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical system troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician will engage in equipment maintenance to ensure continuous, uninterrupted production operations. This position will be involved with basic and advanced mechanical work as needed and as qualified. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
• Perform responsibilities of conducting corrective and preventative maintenance of production equipment to ensure proper operation of machinery
• Troubleshoot automation and instrumentation issues on equipment (PLC, AC Drives, HMI, devices, etc.)
• Communicate directly with the production department to coordinate preventative maintenance as well as review repair work orders and discuss TPM activities
• Assist in training maintenance personnel as required
• Accurately prepare and maintain maintenance-related documents

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of related experience / trade skills
• Ability to perform the physical demands of a maintenance activities
• Basic maintenance tool understanding and ability to use tools properly
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical system troubleshooting and repair

Plusses:

• Advanced knowledge with electricity and electronics Pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting and repair
• CAD based software proficiency
• Robotics (including end of arm tooling) repair and programming experience

Compensation: $25/hour to $30/hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
