Liberty Resources, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Syracuse, NY. The role involves maintaining and repairing agency buildings and grounds, performing preventive maintenance, and handling work orders using standard tools.

The position includes use of an agency vehicle and phone, plus a competitive benefits and PTO package. Two years of relevant maintenance experience and a valid NYS driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with general maintenance and basic repair is expected.
• Ability to use standard office software for timekeeping and work orders.

Responsabilités

• Assist with upkeep of residential and non-residential properties, including painting, cleaning, repairs, construction, and remodeling per agency standards.
• Document work orders and troubleshoot minor plumbing, mechanical, and electrical issues.
• Support security and safety across agency properties for residents, coworkers, vendors, and the public.
• Assist with snow removal during winter months to ensure safe access to buildings and grounds.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours and weekend maintenance needs.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including interior/exterior cleaning, debris removal, lawn care, painting, carpentry, and minor electrical/plumbing repairs.

Maintenance Technician Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general upkeep and repair of agency buildings and grounds, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance requests using mechanical equipment and tools as assigned.

Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities

• Assist with timely upkeep of residential and non-residential properties, including painting, cleaning, repairs, construction, and remodeling, in accordance with agency standards and National Home Builders Association guidelines.
• Perform and document work order requests, including troubleshooting and repairing minor plumbing, mechanical, and electrical issues.
• Support security and safety across agency properties for residents, tenants, coworkers, vendors, and the public.
• Assist with snow removal during winter months to ensure safe access to buildings and grounds.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours and weekend emergency maintenance needs.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including interior and exterior cleaning, debris removal, lawn care (mowing and trimming), carpet cleaning, painting, sheetrock repair, woodworking, window repair, and minor electrical and plumbing repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant maintenance experience required.
• Valid NYS driver’s license required; reliable transportation necessary.
• Use of a personal vehicle may be required for regional travel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to use computer systems for timekeeping and work order processing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with knowledge of OSHA codes, safety practices, and general electrical and mechanical systems.
