Job summary

Liberty Resources, a Syracuse-based nonprofit, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities team in Syracuse, NY. The role focuses on general upkeep of agency buildings and grounds, preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance requests with appropriate mechanical tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with timely upkeep of residential and non-residential properties, including painting, cleaning, repairs, construction, and remodeling, in accordance with agency standards.
• Perform and document work order requests, including troubleshooting and repairing minor plumbing, mechanical, and electrical issues.
• Support security and safety across agency properties for residents, tenants, coworkers, vendors, and the public.
• Assist with snow removal during winter months to ensure safe access to buildings and grounds.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours and weekend emergency maintenance needs.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including interior and exterior cleaning, debris removal, lawn care, carpet cleaning, painting, sheetrock repair, woodworking, window repair, and minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
