Middletown Park Rehab and Healthcare in Orange County, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team. You’ll manage day-to-day maintenance and upkeep, preventive maintenance, emergency response, and make-ready of vacant rooms to keep a safe, clean, and fully operational skilled nursing facility.

Candidates should have experience in facility or building maintenance, basic plumbing/electrical/HVAC skills, and be reliable for on-call and rotating shifts.

Formación

• Experience in facility maintenance, healthcare maintenance, or building maintenance.
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency maintenance situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable for on-call and rotating coverage schedule.
• Covid-19 vaccinations encouraged but not mandated.

Responsabilidades

• Complete assigned maintenance work orders and service requests in a timely manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
• Make-ready process of vacant rooms as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
• Deliver supplies and materials to designated units as needed.
• Monitor work performed by outside contractors for quality and compliance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls as scheduled (on-call rotation).
• Report to work during weather events, emergencies, or staffing shortages as needed.
• Maintain and inspect building systems and equipment.
• Keep grounds, dumpster areas, and exterior spaces clean and safe.
• Report any damage, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Director of Maintenance.
• Maintain professional communication with residents, staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Follow all OSHA, facility, state, and federal safety regulations.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and physical upkeep of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and fully operational environment under the direction of the Director of Maintenance. This role supports the maintenance of a skilled nursing facility environment, including preventive maintenance, repairs, emergency response, and general building systems upkeep.

• Must be reliable for on-call and rotating coverage schedule
