Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Orange County, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician for day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of a 230-bed skilled nursing facility. The role supports preventive maintenance, repairs, and on-call emergency responses to ensure a safe, clean, and fully operational environment.

Requirements include experience in healthcare or building maintenance, knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Formación

• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency maintenance situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Must be reliable for on-call and rotating coverage schedule.
• Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated; vaccination guidance per CDC.

Responsabilidades

• Complete assigned maintenance work orders and service requests in a timely manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
• Make-ready vacant rooms as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
• Deliver supplies and materials to designated units as needed.
• Monitor work by outside contractors for quality and compliance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls as scheduled (on-call rotation).
• Report to work during weather events, emergencies, or staffing shortages as needed.
• Maintain and inspect building systems and equipment.
• Keep grounds, dumpster areas, and exterior spaces clean and safe.
• Report damages, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Director of Maintenance.
• Maintain professional communication with residents, staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Follow OSHA, facility, state, and federal safety regulations.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and physical upkeep of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and fully operational environment under the direction of the Director of Maintenance. This role supports the maintenance of a skilled nursing facility environment, including preventive maintenance, repairs, emergency response, and general building systems upkeep.

• Complete assigned maintenance work orders and service requests in a timely manner
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and building systems
• Maintenance Technician will complete make-ready process of vacant rooms as directed by the Director of Maintenance
• Maintenance Technician will deliver supplies and materials to designated units as needed
• Monitor work performed by outside contractors for quality and compliance
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls as scheduled (on-call rotation)
• Report to work during weather events, emergencies, or staffing shortages as needed
• Maintain and inspect building systems and equipment
• Keep grounds, dumpster areas, and exterior spaces clean and safe
• Report any damage, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Director of Maintenance
• Maintain professional communication with residents, staff, vendors, and contractors
