Job summary

CareCore at Margaret Hall, a 99-bed skilled nursing facility in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will help maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

The role requires hands-on experience with building maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or facility maintenance strongly preferred.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and maintenance throughout the facility.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance assignments and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct life safety inspections including fire extinguishers, exit signs, and emergency lighting.
• Perform weekly generator inspections and assist with testing activities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
• Maintain facility grounds, sidewalks, and common areas.
• Work with outside vendors and contractors during inspections and repairs.
• Support emergency preparedness activities and regulatory compliance efforts.

If you have experience with building maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or general repairs, we would love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine repairs and maintenance throughout the facility
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Complete preventive maintenance assignments and maintain accurate records
• Conduct life safety inspections including fire extinguishers, exit signs, and emergency lighting

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA 608 Certification
• Knowledge of fire alarm, sprinkler, nurse call, or access control systems
• Familiarity with healthcare safety and compliance standards
