We are currently offering a $1,250 Hiring Bonus plus a Summer Incentive Program that includes extra time off beyond PTO.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of apartment maintenance experience, HVAC certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal), and strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, and appliance repair, along with being a team player.

Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance requests and repairs, providing excellent customer service to residents, and supporting the maintenance team under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Complete all assigned service requests.
2. Ensure the timely completion of make-ready units.
3. Maintain and inventory all supplies and equipment.
4. Provide all personal tools required for the job.
5. Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean.
6. Assist in preventive maintenance projects.
7. Escalate unresolved issues to the Service Director.
8. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency calls.
9. Maintain positive communication with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
10. Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
11. Adhere to company policies, including safety and Fair Housing.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Minimum 3 years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
2. HVAC certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
3. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
4. Proficient in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair.
5. Computer skills and familiarity with property management software (Yardi, Entrata, HappyCo) preferred.
6. Valid driver’s license and insurance may be required depending on property.

Environmental and Physical Demands

Must be able to perform physical activities including walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Must have good sensory skills and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to weather, chemicals, and mechanical hazards.
