Job summary

Commercial Metals (CMC) is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery and plant facilities. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, assist in setup and calibration, and support preventive maintenance programs to keep equipment reliable.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Basic computer skills for work orders and reporting.
• Commitment to safety policies and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and plant facilities
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues
• Assist in installation, setup, and calibration of new or repaired equipment
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including service logs and parts inventory
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to quickly resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime

• High School Diploma or GED required
