Job summary

Prime Vacations Management is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to join our team. The role involves inspections, light maintenance, unit turns, meeting vendors, and some exterior janitorial tasks on-site.

Position is full-time and includes weekends; occasional after-hours and holidays may be required. Truck and basic tools are required to perform duties effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs of buildings and light equipment, replace bulbs, ceiling tiles, plumbing fixtures, doors and locks; major repairs by licensed contractors.
  • Occasional painting, plaster, drywall, and stucco repair.
  • Track labor hours and materials used for maintenance tasks.
  • Keep the Property Manager informed on property condition and coordinate resolutions.
  • Complete service requests in a timely manner.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours or weekends when needed.

Job description

Prime Vacations Management is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to join our growing team of property management professionals. This person will be responsible for property inspections, light maintenance, unit turns, meeting vendors and light exterior janitorial work. Working independently, a positive attitude and strong work ethic are more essential than industry experience. This is the perfect position for an on-site maintenance technician looking for a more desirable career path. Truck and tools required.

Position is full-time, includes weekends. (Some occasional afterhours, and holidays may be required)

Essential Duties AND Responsibilities
  • Performs minor repair of all buildings and light equipment such as replacing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, handling minor plumbing repairs to sinks, faucets, urinals, toilets, drains, etc; repairing doors, door locks, hinges, and door closers; occasional repair/installation of window blinds and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Major repairs are performed by licensed contractors.
  • Occasional painting tasks including some painting, plaster, drywall, and stucco repair.
  • Track labor hours and materials used to perform maintenance duties.
  • Keeping the Property Manager informed on the overall condition of the property and coordinating resolution of outstanding issues.
  • Completing service requests in a timely manner.
  • Responding to emergency maintenance requests which may include occasional afterhours, weekends, and/or holidays, though this is rare.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

High school diploma or GED

Minimum 2 years of experience in performing building repairs and maintenance of various types of buildings or an acceptable equivalent combination

Valid driver s license with proof of insurance

Residence within 30 miles of assigned properties

Availability for occasional after hours calls and/or emergency response

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and traffic. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high places; fumes or airborne particles; janitorial rooms; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can occasionally be moderate to occasionally loud.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
