Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • 1 year of maintenance experience preferred but not required.
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, painting, and basic maintenance practices.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of environmental and industrial hazards as they relate to residential housing.
  • Dependable, organized, and committed to providing quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Complete apartment turns in a timely manner, preparing vacant units for new residents.
  • Complete resident work orders and preventative maintenance requests.
  • Perform interior and exterior painting and touch-ups.
  • Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair appliances.
  • Assist with general building and property maintenance.
  • Maintain property grounds and help ensure a clean and welcoming appearance.
  • Maintain the curb appeal of the property, clubhouse, amenities, common areas, and surrounding grounds.
  • Assist with maintenance needs at one or more properties, as assigned.
  • Track maintenance supplies and inventory.
  • Maintain accurate work order documentation and filing.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, vendors, and management.
  • Follow company safety procedures and applicable maintenance practices.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision while helping maintain a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents, guests, and employees.

The Maintenance Technician will complete a variety of service requests, apartment turns, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks while providing excellent service to our residents and supporting the overall appearance and operation of the property.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • One year of maintenance-related experience preferred, but not required
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, painting, and basic maintenance practices
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds independently
  • Valid driver's license preferred, but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including a general understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to prioritize work orders and manage multiple maintenance needs
  • General knowledge of environmental and industrial hazards as they relate to residential housing
