Job summary

Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its team at apartment communities in Boston's North End. The role supports the Service Manager with efficient property operation and handles routine, preventative and emergency maintenance across multiple trades.

Eligible candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, at least 3 years in facilities maintenance, strong English communication, and dependable vehicle; on-call emergencies after hours/weekends/holidays are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years in facilities maintenance.
  • Effective English communication, written and verbal.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter.
  • Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field.
  • On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable vehicle to perform essential duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, preventative and emergency maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues and coordinate with the Service Manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness in common areas and exterior grounds per company standards.

Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its team of property management professionals at apartment communities in Boston's North End.

The Maintenance Technicians role requires effective and careful evaluation in response to a broad range of maintenance needs to assist the Service Manager with the efficient operation of property.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas of routine, preventative and emergency maintenance:

  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC
  • Appliance Repair
  • Locks & Keys
  • Basic Carpentry
  • Painting and Drywall Repair
  • Janitorial, Grounds and Snow Removal
  • Cleaning
  • Maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the buildings common areas and other assigned areas;
  • Maintains exterior grounds according to company standards.
Education And Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field with a minimum of 3 years and related job experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both written and verbal;
  • Solid computer skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills a must;

Compensation and Benefits

Peabody Properties offers $27/hr. - $30/hr.
