Job summary

The Maintenance Technician in Boston, MA is responsible for facility maintenance, heavy cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, and equipment support to keep a safe, clean, and efficient environment. You will support daily operations through preventive maintenance, sanitation, building upkeep, and coordination of cleaning and pest control activities.

This role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years of related experience, IPM familiarity, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of maintenance, cleaning, or sanitation experience in a facility, warehouse, or industrial environment.
• IPM experience preferred.
• Food industry experience is a plus.
• Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Experience using hand tools and power equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills including email communication required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work including bending, climbing, and prolonged standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning and sanitation throughout facility and grounds.
• Maintain safe and clean work areas in all spaces.
• Assist preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication and filter changes.
• Assist with landscaping, snow removal, and ice treatment as needed.
• Support upkeep projects such as painting and basic repairs.
• Coordinate cleaning and pest control services.
• Provide operational coverage for facilities functions as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and work with minimal supervision.
• Assist warehouse or office teams with operational support.
• Communicate maintenance concerns and improvement ideas promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $27.80 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing facility maintenance, heavy cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, and equipment support to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment. This role supports daily operations through preventive maintenance, sanitation, building upkeep, and coordination of cleaning and pest control activities

Key Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the facility and grounds
• Maintain safe and clean work areas including walkways, warehouse areas, offices, stairwells, and common spaces
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication, filter changes, motor replacement, and basic equipment repairs
• Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, snow removal, and ice treatment as needed
• Support facility upkeep projects including painting and general building repairs
• Assist with coordinating cleaning and pest control services
• Provide support and operational coverage for facilities functions as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Assist warehouse or office teams with operational support when required
• Communicate maintenance concerns and improvement ideas in a timely manner
• Perform additional duties as assigned
