Job summary

Forest Properties Management, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Parkside Tower in Boston, MA. You will perform repairs across appliances, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems to keep the property in excellent condition and ready for leasing.

You will work with a team, handle on-call duties, and contribute to a high-quality resident experience through timely service and effective communication with residents and vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance or trades is required.
• Ability to perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting repairs as needed.
• Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math for maintenance tasks.
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform appliance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and heating/cooling system repairs as needed.
• Ensure all service requests are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Prepare vacant apartments for lease and perform cleaning as needed.
• Report building, ground, or system issues to supervisor for corrective action.
• Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, staff, and vendors.
• Able to work on-call with overtime and weekends as needed.

Salary Range: $25.00 To $30.00 Hourly

Forest Properties Management, Inc. seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician for our property in Boston, MA. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out corrective, preventative, cosmetic, and emergency property maintenance. A qualified candidate will work with a team of technicians to assist in their daily responsibilities performing all necessary maintenance for the apartment community.

Essential Duties and Requirements:

• Perform appliance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and heating/cooling system repairs as needed.
• Ensure all service requests are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Perform work necessary to make vacant apartments ready for lease. This includes cleaning when needed.
• Report any building, ground, or system issue to supervisor for further corrective action.
• Ability to communicate and work well with residents, colleagues, administrative staff, and vendors.
• Able to work a rotational on-call schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have one year experience in carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical, or painting
• Some HVAC or appliance repair experience preferred, but not necessary
• Ability to lift 75 Lbs. or more, and engage in physical activities such as walking, crouching, bending, reaching small spaces, standing prolonged periods.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Bring your own tools and must have reliable transportation.
• Eligibility to work in the USA and provide proof.

Pay rate is based upon qualifications and experience.
