Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school, vocational training, or technical certification preferred.
• Experience in commercial/industrial facility maintenance, mechanical maintenance, refrigeration, HVAC preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Forklift, aerial lift, scissor lift, OSHA or related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facility and building equipment.
• Conduct routine rounds and inspections to identify issues and maintenance needs.
• Monitor equipment operating conditions (temperature, pressure, vibration, flow).
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on building systems.
• Assist with more complex repairs and maintenance activities as needed.
• Perform filter changes, lubrication, cleaning, and basic mechanical adjustments.
• Perform general building maintenance (painting, patching, fixes, carpentry).
• Assist with basic plumbing and electrical maintenance where permitted.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and communicate with stakeholders.
• Support subcontractor activities and maintain safe, organized work areas.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support commercial and industrial facility operations through preventive maintenance, routine inspections, troubleshooting, and general repairs.

The Maintenance Technician will help maintain building systems and equipment reliability while ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for facility occupants. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on facility and building equipment.
• Conduct routine shift rounds and inspections to identify equipment issues, safety concerns, and maintenance needs.
• Monitor and record equipment operating conditions, including temperatures, pressures, vibration, and flow rates.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on commercial and industrial building systems.
• Assist with more complex repairs and maintenance activities as needed.
• Perform filter changes, belt and hose inspections/replacements, lubrication, oil changes, condenser and coil cleaning, and basic mechanical adjustments.
• Perform general building maintenance, including painting, patching, fixture repairs, and minor carpentry.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs involving faucets, valves, and drains.
• Assist with basic electrical maintenance, including lighting, lamp, and ballast replacement where permitted.
• Document maintenance activities and completed work in CMMS.
• Communicate professionally with customers, facility occupants, vendors, and team members.
• Assist with subcontractor activities and help maintain safe and organized work areas.
• Follow all applicable OSHA, lockout/tagout, PPE, permit, and workplace safety requirements.
• Support facility projects, improvements, and other operational activities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school, vocational training, technical certification, or related coursework preferred.
• Previous experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance, mechanical maintenance, refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Forklift, aerial lift, scissor lift, OSHA, or other trade certifications are a plus.
