Job summary

Express Employment International (US) in Birmingham, AL is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance on production equipment and replace/repair chains, belts, motors, and other components. You will troubleshoot basic mechanical issues to minimize downtime and conduct preventative maintenance.

Initial training will be provided, followed by a move to the second shift; schedule is Monday–Friday with potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• Must have previous maintenance experience.
• Mechanical aptitude to work with industrial equipment.
• Experience with automotive motors/repairs is a plus.
• Must have a basic toolkit (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.).
• Able to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently after training.

Pay Rate:

$20.26 per hour

Schedule:

Monday – Friday

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on production and manufacturing equipment
• Replace and repair chains, belts, motors, and other machine components
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues to minimize downtime
• Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Assist with equipment inspections and repairs
• Maintain a safe and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance protocols

Requirements:

• Previous maintenance experience required
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with industrial equipment
• Experience changing automotive motors or performing automotive repairs is a strong plus
• Must have a basic tool kit, including wrenches, screwdrivers, and other common hand tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently after training
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and work in an industrial environment

Training & Schedule:

• Initial training will be conducted on first shift alongside the Maintenance Supervisor
• Upon successful completion of training, employee will move to second shift
• Monday through Friday schedule
