Job description

**Position:** Maintenance Technician

Location:

Berlin, CT

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm

Compensation:

Negotiable based on experience/fair market value

Purpose & Scope:

This role is responsible for performing maintenance and repair on all plastic injection molding machinery and equipment including robots, chillers, thermolators, and hot running systems.

Essential Duties:

• Repairing, troubleshooting, and inspecting all mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on machines and robots according to specifications
• Regularly checking heater bands, rings, and pulling screws/barrels
• Safely utilizing proper equipment to access jobs for removing and installing parts

Requirements:

• Five plus (5+) years of maintenance and preventative maintenance experience with Plastic Injection Molding Machinery and peripheral equipment
• Ability to follow established procedures, read blueprints, and maintain accurate records
• Understanding of auxiliary, electrical, hydraulic equipment, robots, and machines
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment
• Occasional bending, squatting, climbing, grasping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs
