Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production and facility operations in a Plymouth, MI manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of maintenance experience, read electrical schematics, and can lift up to 75 lbs. 1st shift, Monday–Friday, with overtime opportunities and a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 40 Hours/Week

Overview

Our client seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support production and facility operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining production equipment while ensuring workplace safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and support emergency repairs.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Assist with mold changes and facility maintenance projects.
• Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and machining tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and overtime, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred

• Associate's Degree or Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.
• PLC and HVAC experience.
• Blueprint reading experience.
• MIG, Stick, or TIG welding experience.
