Job summary

Sunshine Air Conditioning in Belleview, FL is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. Start at $19-$27/hour with commission opportunities, and potential total earnings of $50,000-$75,000 annually.

This full-time role Monday–Friday starts at 7:30 AM, with on-call opportunities and overtime. You’ll service residential systems, perform preventive maintenance, and interact with homeowners while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Residential HVAC maintenance experience required
• EPA certification (Type II) or Universal EPA
• Electrical and refrigeration fundamentals knowledge
• HVAC technical school training preferred
• Familiarity with local codes and ordinances
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Comfortable on 12' extension ladder and 8' step ladder
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Reliable attendance and consistent work history
• Customer-focused attitude and professional demeanor
• Personal hand tools

Responsibilities

Compensation & Schedule

• $19-$27 per hour to start

What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help homeowners keep their HVAC systems operating safely and efficiently. You'll work on a variety of residential equipment and interact directly with customers.

Your day-to-day work may include:

• Completing preventative maintenance on residential HVAC equipment of all makes and models
• Cleaning coils, drains, components, and other system areas
• Checking electrical connections, motors, thermostats, and system operation
• Monitoring refrigerant pressures and identifying potential concerns
• Recording thorough service notes and customer information
• Explaining your work and communicating professionally with homeowners and team members
• Keeping your service vehicle stocked and organized
• Maintaining your tools and equipment
• Following company safety procedures at every job

What You Bring

We're looking for someone with hands-on HVAC experience who can work independently while representing the company professionally.

Required or preferred qualifications include:

• Previous experience performing residential HVAC maintenance
• Universal EPA certification or Type II
• Solid knowledge of electrical and refrigeration fundamentals
• HVAC technical school training is preferred
• Familiarity with applicable local codes and ordinances
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Comfortable working from a 12-foot extension ladder and 8-foot step ladder
• Ability to work outdoors and in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Reliable attendance and a consistent work history
• Good judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
• Customer-focused attitude and professional demeanor
• Personal hand tools
