Job summary

Gebhart Holdings in Bedford, Indiana, is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Recycling division to support welding, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics. This is a full-time, hourly-position reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and involves hands-on plant maintenance and repairs.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on furnaces, power supplies, mobile equipment and other plant systems, complete work orders, and uphold 5S lean practices.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
• Industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician will provide assistance in all aspects of maintenance such as welding, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor

SUPERVISES: N/A

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintenance/Repair tasks at the plant.
• Preventative maintenance/repair tasks on mobile equipment.
• Preventive maintenance/repair tasks on furnaces, power supplies and plant operational equipment and processes.
• Repairs of unscheduled equipment issues causing downtime
• Completing work orders & PM paperwork
• Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position
• Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

• Forklift experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
