Job summary

Gebhart in Indiana seeks a Maintenance Technician to support welding, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics maintenance at our plant.

The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and requires hands-on industrial maintenance experience. We offer growth opportunities, a safety-focused environment, and a commitment to lean practices with 5S standards.

Wage increases every 6 months and bonuses linked to attendance and production are part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance or millwright experience in manufacturing environments.
• Welding experience is preferred or related fabrication skills.
• Forklift experience is beneficial but not required.
• Competent in safe work practices and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance/Repair tasks at the plant.
• Preventative maintenance on mobile equipment.
• Preventive maintenance on furnaces, power supplies and plant equipment.
• Repairs of unscheduled equipment issues causing downtime.
• Completing work orders and PM paperwork.
• Regular and timely attendance is expected.
• Follow the 5S foundations for lean production practices.

Position: Maintenance Technician

Division: Recycling

Status: Full Time/Hourly Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician will provide assistance in all aspects of maintenance such as welding, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor

SUPERVISES: N/A

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintenance/Repair tasks at the plant.
• Preventative maintenance/repair tasks on mobile equipment.
• Preventive maintenance/repair tasks on furnaces, power supplies and plant operational equipment and processes.
• Repairs of unscheduled equipment issues causing downtime
• Completing work orders & PM paperwork
• Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position
• Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes

Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
• Industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
• Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.
