Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) seeks a full‑time maintenance/handyman to keep the property in excellent condition and prepare units for occupancy in the Baltimore area. The role requires hands‑on experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and a strong safety mindset.

You will be responsible for on‑site repairs, tool inventory, on‑call responsiveness, and ensuring a professional appearance while upholding OSHA standards. Compensation includes typical benefits and a focus on career growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily repair and upkeep of the property and prepare vacant units for occupancy.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; ensure tools are on hand.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents; assist with on‑call duties.
• Secure maintenance shop at close of each workday; operate within OSHA standards and safety policies.
• Handle snow and ice removal as needed; respond to eviction lock-outs and 24‑hour service requests.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the daily repair and upkeep of the property and the preparation of vacant units for occupancy
• Maintain and keep an inventory of all supplies and equipment
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents
• Maintain the required property uniform ensuring a professional appearance
• Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times
• Be available to work on an on-call basis
• Secure the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every workday
• Remove snow and ice as necessary
• Handle all lock-outs as a result of evictions and take responsibility for 24-hour response to service requests

Requirements

• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Property maintenance/handyman experience

Compensation and Benefits

Full‑time: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
