Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for the 2nd shift to diagnose electrical and mechanical failures in our precision metal components manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot 240V/400V three-phase circuits, read PLC ladder logic, and perform repairs on wiring, drives, motors, and HVAC, with safety lockout procedures in place. This is a hands-on role in a growing manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6–10 years in heavy manufacturing maintenance or journeyman certification.
• Electrical and mechanical knowledge sufficient to diagnose equipment failures independently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot 240V and 400V three-phase circuits, low-voltage controls, AC/DC motors, VFDs, encoders, and transducers using meters and schematics.
• Use PLC programs to read ladder logic and trace faults to identify failed components.
• Repair or replace wiring, breakers, fuses, switches, relays, and electrical components on machines and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive inspections, identify root causes, plan repairs, and apply lockout procedures.

We are an established, midsized manufacturer of precision metal components and assemblies serving automotive and other industrial markets. Our operations include metal stamping, machining, and assembly, supported by in-house tooling and engineering teams.

Our maintenance department keeps production machinery and facility systems operating across multiple shifts. This position focuses on diagnosing electrical and mechanical failures, troubleshooting machine controls, and completing repairs that prevent recurring downtime.

Job Details

• Use a PC to analyze PLC programs and read basic ladder logic to trace equipment faults and identify failed components.
• Repair or replace wiring, circuit breakers, fuses, switches, contactors, relays, and electrical/electronic components on production machinery and facility systems, including HVAC.
• Perform preventive inspections and respond to breakdowns; identify root causes, plan repairs, and apply lockout procedures before servicing equipment.
