Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Industrial Electrician for our Lawrence, KS operation. You'll install, troubleshoot, and maintain 110V-480V systems, read schematics, and work on PLCs in a true industrial environment.

This Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM role offers competitive benefits and a focus on safety, with two weeks PTO and on-site daytime hours.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of manufacturing electrical experience, plus knowledge of Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing or plant setting.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and power distribution.
• Experience with three-phase motors and 480V systems.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Familiar with OSHA safety requirements and industrial safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair 110V–480V electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot three-phase motors, control panels, wiring, and electrical components.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Document repairs, installations, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve reliability.
• Ensure work complies with safety standards and company procedures.

Job Details

Position Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair 110V, 220V, and 480V electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain three-phase motors, control panels, wiring systems, and industrial electrical components.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
• Diagnose electrical problems and identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Assist with installation and modification of electrical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot control circuits, sensors, switches, relays, and other electrical components.
• Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Ensure electrical work is completed in accordance with applicable safety standards, electrical codes, and company procedures.
• Accurately document repairs, installations, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Respond to equipment issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
• Participate in maintenance projects and equipment improvement initiatives.
• Complete required company and job-specific training.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Perform additional maintenance and electrical responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Technical certification, trade school training, or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and power distribution.
• Experience working with three-phase motors and 480V systems.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and industrial safety practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a maintenance team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/chemical plant environment with exposure to noise, heat, machinery, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to safely utilize required PPE and follow all plant safety procedures.
