Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Appleton, WI, on the 1st shift (Monday–Friday). The role covers hands-on work with CNC equipment, presses, and facility systems to keep production running smoothly.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults, use blueprints and OEM manuals, and ensure safety through LOTO and OSHA practices. The ideal candidate has a GED or HS diploma, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to read schematics and diagrams.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma is required.
• Practical experience diagnosing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret OEM manuals, mechanical blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools.
• Strong analytical skills to manage tasks in a high-speed production setting.

Responsibilities

• Identify, fix, and service production machinery (CNC units, presses, shears, material handling) to maintain uptime.
• Analyze and resolve faults in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems; perform gearbox repairs and alignment.
• Assist with setup, modernization, and movement of equipment using blueprints and diagrams.
• Resolve electrical issues involving motors, sensors, drives, and safety components up to 480V.
• Perform basic PLC diagnostics while following electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Oversee facility infrastructure including plumbing, HVAC, lighting, compressed air, and loading docks; general office upkeep.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and safety protocols for a secure workplace.

Job description

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a prominent fabrication and machine shop located in Appleton, WI. This position offers a diverse, hands-on experience involving everything from CNC equipment and presses to facility infrastructure, all within a consistent Monday through Friday, 1st shift schedule.

Core Responsibilities

• Identify, fix, and service production machinery such as CNC units, presses, shears, and material handling systems to ensure operational uptime.
• Analyze and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical faults, while executing precise tasks like gearbox repairs and alignment.
• Assist with the setup, modernization, and movement of equipment by utilizing mechanical blueprints, electrical diagrams, and manufacturer guides.
• Resolve electrical issues involving motors, sensors, drives, and safety components up to 480V to keep production lines running smoothly.
• Execute fundamental PLC diagnostics while adhering to strict electrical safety and lockout/tagout protocols.
• Oversee facility infrastructure, including plumbing, HVAC, lighting, compressed air, and loading docks, alongside general office upkeep.
• Promote a secure workplace by strictly following OSHA guidelines and safety protocols, such as confined space and hot work procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a GED or high school diploma.
• Demonstrated mechanical proficiency with practical experience diagnosing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Capacity to interpret OEM manuals, mechanical blueprints, and electrical schematics accurately.
• Proficiency in operating various diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools.
• Strong analytical abilities to effectively manage and prioritize tasks within a high-speed production setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant apprenticeship, technical degree, or equivalent professional background.
• Minimum of three years of industrial maintenance experience within a machine shop or fabrication facility.
• Prior experience in general facilities maintenance.

Position Details

• Shift Timing: Monday to Friday, 1st shift
• Compensation: $28 - $36 per hour, commensurate with your experience
