Job summary

Summit Interconnect in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the 2nd shift to support HVAC/heating, electrical systems and facility maintenance in a PCB manufacturing environment.

The role requires at least 3 years in the PCB industry, strong electrical/controls knowledge, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work safely with ladders and hazardous chemicals. EPA HVAC certification a plus; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; college/trade schooling is a plus.
  • At least 3 years in the printed circuit board industry.
  • Electrical and electronic controls knowledge for industrial facilities.
  • Mechanically inclined with maintenance tools and test equipment.
  • Ready to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders safely.

Responsibilities

  • Assess quality, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions.
  • Install and modify ductwork as needed for operations.
  • Maintain tools and calibration equipment per procedures.
  • Repair electrical wiring, motors, pumps, and HVAC/refrigeration components.
  • Identify parts and materials required for Summit facilities.
  • Perform daily maintenance on specified equipment.
  • Maintain safe, clean work environment per regulations.
  • Follow safety standards to meet company and legal guidelines.
  • Document work performed in logs and records.
  • Request materials and parts from the Manager as needed.
  • Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.

Description

Summit Anaheim currently has an open position for Maintenance Tech (2nd shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.

Position Summary

Provides production support within the Printed Circuit Board Industry ensuring that HVAC/Heating equipment and Summit facilities are maintained and optimized. Performs tasks such as HVAC/Heating and electrical troubleshooting and repair, preventive maintenance which may include the Waste Treatment Department.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the printed circuit board industry and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  1. 1. Assess quality, determine root cause, and corrective actions in the areas of dutiesassigned.
  2. 3.Installation and modification of needed duct work.
  3. 4.Maintains tools and equipment for proper calibration, function and operation per procedures.
  4. 5. Replace or repair electrical wiring, motors, water pumps, and other integrated partsof air conditioning/heating, refrigeration systems.
  5. 6. Identify necessary components and materials needed to make repairs for Summitfacility.
  6. 7.Performs daily maintenance on specified equipment.
  7. 8. Responsible for overall maintenance of facility which may include such repairs aspainting, patching, tile, plumbing and any other facility needs as directed by Manager.
  8. 9. Cut and drill holes in floors, walls and roof to install needed equipment using powertools.
  9. 10. Create and maintain inventory log and equipment making sure all equipment is organized and accounted for at all times.
  10. 11. Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures,rules, and safety regulations.
  11. 12. Assure safety standards are used which comply with Company, Local, City, Stateand Federal guidelines.
  12. 13. Prepare and maintain various logs and record on work performed.
  13. 14. Responsible to request required materials, supplies and equipment parts fromManager.
  14. 15. Special projects and other responsibilities may be assigned.
Qualifications
  1. 1. High School Diploma. College/Trade schooling is a plus.
  2. 2. Must have Electrical and Electronic Controls knowledge used in an industrialfacility.
  3. 3. Mechanically inclined and experience with various maintenance shop tool andtesting equipment.
  4. 4. Must be able to work on all types of ladders at recommended safe heights.
  5. 5. Have the strength, agility and endurance to work in restricted spaces and/or on top equipment
  6. 6. Must have sufficient lung capacity to perform job duties with Personal ProtectiveEquipment (i.e. Gas Mask).
  7. 7. Must be able to lift 50lbs (may be required to lift pumps, motors and material with orwithout assistance).
  8. 8. Must own set of basic hand tools.
  9. 9. Capable of sufficiently interrupting Electrical wire diagrams and schematics for theuse of troubleshooting failures or to make modification as needed.
  10. 10. HVAC experience with an EPA Certification is a plus.
  11. 11. Willing to take ownership of responsibilities that are assigned to them and have awillingness to be a team player and help out where needed.
  12. 12. Welding all types of materials is a big plus with the use of - TIG, MIG,Oxy/Acetylene Torch, Electrical Arc, Hot Air Plastic Welding.
  13. 13. Must be able to work safely with hazardous chemicals.
